Evil can be found in many of the episodes of Law & Order: SVU. The detectives put their lives on the line every day to find the truth in the crimes even when they are not comfortable in many situations. They have the feeling of defeat when certain evidence is not permissible in court and the suspect is not convicted of the crime he or she committed.
In this scene, Olivia Benson goes undercover into a correctional facility as a convicted felon in order to find out whether or not the correctional officers are raping the convicts as they have been accused of doing:
While Olivia is incarcerated, one of the correctional officers brings her to the basement and tries to take advantage of her but is stopped by her partner, Detective Tutuola. After her undercover operation, Olivia has to go through extensive therapy in order to get over what she goes through in jail where she feels completely out of control of the situation and feels very defeated by the correctional officer.
